At Patch Wood Irish Jacks, everything begins with a genuine love for dogs and a deep appreciation for the Irish Jack Russell Terrier. What started as admiration for this remarkable breed quickly became a passion for preserving the qualities that make these dogs so special, their intelligence, loyalty, confidence, and unwavering devotion to their families.

Located in Sandown, New Hampshire, we’re proud to be a family-run breeding program dedicated to raising healthy, well-socialized Irish Jack Russell Terriers and Hunt Terriers. Every litter is thoughtfully planned, and every puppy is raised with the same love, care, and attention we give our own dogs.

For us, breeding has never been about producing as many puppies as possible. It’s about preserving exceptional bloodlines, improving the breed, and helping families welcome a companion they’ll cherish for many years to come.

Treated Like Family

Our Jack Russells are first and foremost family members. They live in our home with children, cats, birds, and other dogs. They are wonderful off-leash and can frequently follow us around the farm or while riding the horses through the trails. They also love swimming, beach walks, agility, and frequent trips to the local pet store!

Raised in the Home

Our puppies are raised in the home and socialized with many children, adults, cats, horses, and other dogs. Whether we are resting on the couch or doing barn chores in the snow, our faithful Jacks are always with us.

Healthy

Before leaving us, our puppies had their first shots, worming, and health certificates. We also offer a lifetime health and temperament guarantee on all our puppies. We strive to breed healthy and happy family companions and want you to be sure.

Jumpstart on Training

Before leaving, all puppies have started crate training and housebreaking. We send them all home with feeding, training, and housebreaking information and are here to assist you for the life of your Jack.

Pricing

Pricing for our Irish Jack Russell and Hunt Terrier puppies varies depending on several factors, including lineage, markings, and overall quality. As a general guideline, expect prices to start around $1,800. Puppies with minor cosmetic flaws or differences may be priced accordingly.

Shipping

Getting a puppy when you are located too far to drive out to us can be stressful. We have been shipping to new approved homes for over 10 years and it is not as hard as it would seem.

We got our Irish Jack after talking to Kathleen and seeing all her awesome dogs We fell in love with Bagel and was lucky it was her liter! There is not a day that goes by that our pup Guinness does not make us laugh and smile! We have a horse farm and from the second we let her out of the car she has become a very important part of our family! We just love her to death. She was a hit at the Northeast Poultry Congress. Our boarders love her too! She enjoys sleeping on the back of the couch when she is not cuddling with us!

We got Lucy from Patchwood Farm last May. She is doing well and today she is one year old! We moved to Florida last summer and she loves the warmer climate! She is active but we love her for that! She is loved so much!

We love our little guy! We found you by chance through a search engine. I can't stress enough how different he is from my other two. He is so laid back, and loves everyone and anyone. Training? He is so smart. From day one he loved his kennel, loved to go for walks on his leash, (the other 2 did the drop and roll on their leash) and was house-trained in no time. He is 6 months old now, and each day is awesome with him. He goes EVERYWHERE with me because he is so well-behaved. I think my husband hit the nail on the head when he compares the other two with Booga, he says it is all in the breeder's hands, I have to agree, and let me just say thank you for doing such a good job!

Juggy is doing very well! We are extremely happy with him. He is cute, smart, kind, and very playful. He loves to play with a soccer ball or anything bigger; it's funny to watch him! He is great with my kids. The other day, Mason, our oldest, got into trouble and started crying, which upset Juggy. He looked like he was then one in trouble with his ears laid back, and came over where Mason was sitting to give him kisses. He didn't leave his side until he stopped crying. He still loves to eat and has been lucky enough to steal a few things from the table. He is very good at jumping, especially when he tries to reach the food people have in their hands. He is loved by everyone who meets him.

My family and I just wanted to thank you so much for our bundle of joy! Macey is doing fantastic and brought so much happiness to our family. My father, brother and fiance came and picked her up in December. We recommend you to anyone who wants a great Jack Russell! We have had so many people ask us where we got Macey and we gave them your name and website. She is very healthy and so much fun! Thank you again!

Dolly is growing up into quite a lady! Her white coat is lovely! I think it is so unusual, and her spots have come in dark, giving her a Dalmatian look. My sister-in-law thinks she looks like Spuds Mackenzie. At any rate, she is fun. I have a handicapped little girl in my life. She is here with me almost every day. She adores Dolly. And although Dolly has good energy, she seems totally in tune with Georgia and her disabilities. We must be very careful with Georgia as she has a severe brain injury, and Dolly seems to know that. It is also a great opportunity for Georgia to learn to be assertive when Dolly is licking... Georgia must push her away on her own. It has been SO fun to watch. Of course, they spend most of the day on the floor together. Dolly clamped to Georgia's diaper, being dragged around on the floor. Thanks again for our Dolly girl and I will be in touch.

Hi, and Happy New Year ! Our puppy is named Abby now. I forget what you called her. She is doing very well. She is intelligent, obedient, and very friendly. She begins puppy school next week. She loves bigger dogs. She is very social with all dogs, however. She loves to run, walk, jump.

Maggie has certainly been a joy as we've learned what it's like to own an Irish Jack, but we wouldn't trade any of these experiences! Maggie is such a sweet, clever, energetic little girl... Although she rules the roost over our dachshund, she has settled into our family nicely. I've never seen a dog try so hard to fit into our lifestyle... you can see her trying to figure out what we want her to do (or not do!). She has learned several tricks, has never met another dog she doesn't find fascinating, and adores everyone who arrives at our house, be it one of the kids' friends or an appliance service person!
